The unstoppable Viola Davis took Best Supporting Actress, the not quite as teary Emma Stone won Best Actress, and Moonlight_s Mahershala Ali paved the way for that movie_s epic victory with a Best Supporting Actor nod. The most closely contested race according to critics was for Best Actor, but early favorite Casey Affleck held on to beat the fast-charging Denzel Washington Hard to argue with any of those choicesAnother big winner was host Jimmy Kimmel He got off some good jokes, had fun dropping snacks on the stars throughout the night… but the bit that everyone really loved had him take a group on a Hollywood bus tour and drop them unexpectedly into the biggest event in showbizYes, it_s fair to say Jimmy Kimmel made many of our nights… but he REALLY made those people_s nights All in all it was one of the most entertaining Oscars in a very long time
